Plans and Training
As part of our commitment to improve safety, one of the goals for this year was to move a lot more information to the website. Starting with 2009, efforts will be made to keep members informed about our safety plans and topics prior to the meetings so they can prepare themselves for the topic- especially for our Cadet members and their parents to discuss any sensitive topics that may arise in a unit discussion.
For 2009, we will be discussing “Personal Sense” covering a range of topics designed to help individual members realize their own needs to maintaining a safe and healthy life to be productive in their personal and professional lives.
Beginning with January, any member who is not able to be there for a safety meeting will be able to check here for materials for that month’s safety topic. A simple quiz or test will be offered to verify the training, but must be cleared by the safety officer prior to taking. The online option will not be used or accepted if it becomes a regular habit for the member to skip only safety meetings.
